| Remark |
|
Long thought to be extinct, the Greek winery Domain Sigalas is pioneering the return of the Mavrotragrano grape. The first bottling was produced in the mid 1990’s. It produces a dense deep red that is rich with tannins but has surprisingly restrained alcohol at 13%. The name translates directly as Black Crunchy because of its dark color and chewy tannins.
